The Shooting Star provides guests with bed linens and towels. Guests must bring their own toiletries.

Alcohol is permitted for guests over 21. However, the City of Red Oak is a dry area and has no alcohol sales. Management reserves the right to ask guests who are disruptive to leave.
The Shooting Star staff is happy to recommend a number of area caterers, grocers and restaurants eager to serve you a wide variety of choices including BBQ, Italian, Tex-Mex, home style cooking, deli trays and vegetarian meals.
Guests are encouraged to wear close-toed shoes when walking in the woods and long pants during the season.
The entire back of the property follows Bear Creek with walking paths. The creek is not suitable for swimming and can rise and fall dramatically, depending on rainfall.
Pets are permitted and charged an additional fee. For their own safety and the saftey of our other guests, pets are not permitted to roam free and must be leashed at all times. The Casita has a dog run.
We have three pet horses: Charlie, Sky and Filli. Horseback riding is not provided.
Debbye Wallace is well known to the community for her work in Ellis County real estate since 1979. She acquired the Shooting Star in 1995 and is now realizing her long held dream of making this beautiful space available to other people who can appreciate its timeless beauty and rejuvenating quiet.
